How it works

Sit it, mark it, then fix it.

  1. Sit a full paper

    Every mock is a complete paper on the real clock: 50 questions in 60 minutes at Level 2; the theory paper, then two wines to taste, at Level 3.

  2. Mark it like an examiner

    Multiple choice is marked for you, with the reason for every answer. At Level 3 you mark your written answers and tasting notes point by point against the mark scheme.

  3. See where the marks are

    Progress by learning outcome, weighted like the exam, against the pass, merit and distinction lines, with an estimate of your grade if the exam were today.

  4. Train the weak spots

    One tap starts a run on the topics costing you the most marks. Flashcards come back when they are due and a plan counts down to your exam date.

Are these official WSET mock exams?

No. They are independent study aids, written by Worth Opening. WSET appears only to name the qualification.

Which languages are the apps in?

English, French and Spanish, questions, explanations and mark schemes included. You can switch at any time in Settings.

Do I need an account or a connection?

No account and no subscription. Everything stays on your phone and both apps work offline.

What does it cost?

The first mock exam is free. One payment unlocks the other nineteen for good. There are no ads.

How should I use mock exams?

Sit them under exam conditions, mark them honestly and spend your time where the marks are. Our study guides for the Level 2 exam and the Level 3 exam set out a plan.
