The exam
One open-response paper of 90 minutes, worth 20% of the Diploma. D1 is a foundation unit and is sat before any other. The number of questions and their weightings change from paper to paper; each question's weighting is printed as a percentage. Pass 55%, merit 65%, distinction 75%.
