D3

The exam

Theory on the first day: two open-response papers, of 2 hours and of 1 hour 20 minutes. Tasting on the second day: 12 wines blind over two papers of 90 minutes. You need at least 55% in theory and at least 55% in tasting.

WSET Level 4

In the app

  • Theory mocks in the two-paper format, each paper with a choice of questions, about 40 minutes a question
  • Practice questions by country: France, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Greece, Italy, Spain, Portugal, the USA, Canada, Chile, Argentina, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and China
  • A coverage map of every region in the specification
  • Tasting mocks of four flights of three wines: one grape variety, one country, one region and unrelated wines, 45 minutes a flight
  • Style notes for classic categories, calibration between price levels and conclusion drills
  • Cards on spaced repetition, by country
  • Theory and tasting estimated separately, each against its 55% line (how the two combine into the unit mark is not published, so the app does not guess)

The first theory paper, the first tasting paper and a selection of the cards are free.
