Bottles resting punt-out in a limestone cellar rack

Signature format

Build Your First Cellar.

A private session that ends in a written plan: what to buy first, what to wait for and what to open while the rest matures.

The session

Start with what you enjoy.

  1. i.

    Taste

Benchmark styles poured side by side: the regions and producers a first cellar is built on.

  2. ii.

    Judge

Drinking windows over hype. Provenance, storage, price discipline and how merchants and en primeur actually work.

  3. iii.

    Plan

Your cellar on paper: what to buy first, what to wait for and what to drink while the rest matures.

Most people arrive with a list of names they have been told to buy. They leave with a shorter list, in order, with a reason attached to every line.

From session to cellar

From plan to first case.

A cellar review starts with what you already own. We look carefully at what is missing and what to drink first.

Wines may be sourced through trusted licensed merchants or selected from our own cellar. Provenance and the basis of our fee are agreed in writing before anything is supplied.

The aim is simple: a cellar built around what you enjoy, what to open now and what is worth waiting for.

Format

A private session in Hong Kong or Europe, on three to four weeks' notice.

What you leave with

A written plan: what to buy first, what to wait for and what to open meanwhile, with a reason on every line.

Sourcing

Through trusted licensed merchants or, where appropriate, from our own cellar. You are told which before you commit.

Storage

Settled before anything is bought: a cabinet at home or professional storage in Hong Kong or Europe.

Clients

The knowledge level and information is unmatched. Further, Raph is incredibly friendly.

Hiring Worth Opening for our wine cellar was a great decision! They really know their stuff and caught every detail to keep our bottles safe. The consultation was thorough and tailored to our collection. The cellar looks stunning, and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. Highly recommend!
